Rev. D. Lynn Hardaway, Senior Pastor
Lynn became our pastor in July of 2008, after serving as pastor of Central Baptist Church in Norfolk for eight years. Prior to Central, he pastored Fellowship Baptist Church in the Western Branch section of Chesapeake (now Point Harbor Community Church) for over eighteen years.
He earned his Th.G. from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, graduating in 1977. He completed his B.S.R. at Liberty University in 2007, M.A.R. in 2008 and his M.Div. in 2010, both from Liberty, with a concentration in Church Growth and Evangelism. He will begin work on his D.Min. in the summer of 2010.
He and Maureen met in 1992, were married in 2000, and live in Suffolk with their daughter, Emma.
Dr. A. Wayne Cook, Music and Discipleship Pastor
Wayne has been involved in ministry since a teen. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Providence Theological Seminary in 2001. He is an experienced choral leader, worship leader, Bible and ministry teacher, both in churches and Bible College. His writings have been published in several publications and books.
Wayne’s passion is spending time with his wife Janine, 4 grown children, 8 grandchildren, reading & writing, and watching people’s lives change through the influence of God’s Word and Spirit.

Rev. Scott Wade, Minister of Students and Outreach
Scott began his ministry as Temple's Youth Pastor in June of 2008. He grew up in York County, VA and was a graduate of Tabb High School in 1997. In 2001 he earned his BS in Business Management from Carson Newman College. Upon graduation he served as Area Representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes from June 2001 until October of 2009, when he became a full time staff member at Temple. In November of 2009 he added Evangelism to his growing responsibilities.
He and Bethany were married in October 2008 and welcomed their first son, Isaac in January 2010.
